You’ve driven past it on 4th Street. At night, you’ve seen the red glow from its neon sign. In the past, you might have smelled freshly baked bread from inside it. Now, you can live in it. As one of Lykens Companies most iconic properties, The Wonder Bread Lofts have infused luxury into history. Like nothing else out there, The Wonder Bread Lofts offer tenants a special experience, but why should you live there? Read on and see three reasons why we think the WB Lofts should be your next rental.
1. Once In A Lifetime, One-Of-A-Kind
The complete renovation of a factory makes it pretty hard to make every unit exactly the same. Luckily, our vision was never to make turn the Wonder Bread into cookie-cutter apartments. Each Wonder Bread Loft has been organically created around the factory’s original structure. As a result, lofts are completely unique. Be honest, you’ll probably never live in a factory more than once. When you do, how cool is it to know that you’re living in a place that is built with the history of the factory in mind?
2. Original Elements Meet Luxury Materials
Original brick walls. Original air ducts. Original steel beams. Top-grade granite countertops. Mocha-finished maple cabinetry. Polished concrete floors. Brick floors. Sliding glass showers. Tiled bathrooms. Stainless steel appliances. High-efficiency washers, dryers, and furnaces. And, in some cases, garage doors that connect a living room to a patio in the summer time.
There’s a fusion in every Wonder Bread Loft. A fusion between the old and the new. The historical and the luxurious. When renting out a Wonder Bread Loft, residents get what they pay for. Open concept floor plans allow residents to be creative in their decoration, but the raw materials from the factory have proven to stand out on their own. When residents decorate around the materials inside their Wonder Bread Loft, we’ve found that there are always jaw-dropping results.
3. A Living History
With the Wonder Bread factory, we valued the way men and women went there every single day to make sure that they were able to make a living. We wanted to preserve that, but now, instead of it being a place to make a living, the Wonder Bread Lofts have become a place to live in. How cool is that?
At Lykens Companies, we value Columbus, the Short North, and the rich history that our city has. If we were to decide not to renovate buildings and tear down them down for a newer build, we recognize that we would be ridding the city of more than a building—we would be taking away a piece of its history. For us, The Wonder Bread Lofts are one of many historical buildings that we refuse to get rid of. By renovating and reimagining its potential, we allow ourselves the ability to enjoy the next chapter of The Wonder Bread’s life.
Convinced?
Our Wonder Bread Lofts fill up fast! If you’re interested in this unique living opportunity, take a look at some of our available units. We could have mentioned more, like City Tavern and the discounts for tenants, or the patios with the skyline view, or the parking a few blocks away from the Short North’s strip, but we decided to stop here. You shouldn’t stop here. Become a part of The Wonder Bread’s next chapter!
