If you’ve driven through Columbus at all, you know just how many construction projects are taking off in the city. Lykens Companies is thrilled to be leading a number of them. To kick off 2018, we’re excited to preview each of our awesome construction projects!
Fourth Crossing (1112 N. Fourth)
Sitting next to the Budd Dairy factory, Fourth Crossing will boast 36 luxury 1 bedroom units. This brand-new build looks to add to the incredible growth happening in the Italian Village. In addition to lavish living spaces, residents will be in walking distance to Seventh Son, Fox in the Snow, The Market, and more!
EJ Thomas (180 Detroit Avenue)
Have you ever wanted to live in an historical apartment, complete with its original beams and brickwork? Enter the EJ Thomas project. A sister to The Wonder Bread Lofts, EJ Thomas will be Lykens’ second major factory renovation. When finished, the building will contain 20 luxury 1 bedroom apartments and will sit in the hot spot of the Italian Village.
The Townhomes at 175 Detroit
If you’re looking to up your square footage in the cramped Short North, then these townhomes will be the way to go. Just across from our EJ Thomas project, these four new 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom townhomes will have beautiful exteriors and elegant interior finishes. As cherries on top, residents will each have a dedicated one-car garage and a finished basement.
245 King Avenue
Above The Angry Baker, The Bitter Barista, and a forthcoming restaurant (stay tuned!), four newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units will blow residents away. A great apartment in a great location is a hard combo to beat.
875 North 4th Street
Soon, Italian Village will be blown away by another impressive build. Set to break ground in the coming months, Lykens Companies looks forward to the construction of 28 deluxe 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartments. In addition to masterful finishes and a prime location, the building will feature first floor space for retail and a forthcoming retail location just steps away.
1374 East Broad Street
Built in 1948, 1374 East Broad Street holds four unique townhomes—two 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom units and two 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom units—in the heart of Olde Towne East. Though renovated and updated for modern convenience, this historical building’s 1950s aesthetic has been maintained. Each townhome features an original steel countertop and is fully applianced with hardwood flooring along with other great features. These townhomes highlight the endless possibilities that happen when modern updates blend with original materials and personality.
851 N. 4th Street
We’re thrilled to finally be done with this mixed-use project. This building sits in a can’t miss location: Italian Village’s 4th Street. Its ground floor features commercial space zoned for coffee shops and delis, boasting 12 foot ceilings, 1300 square feet of space, a basement, and even a patio! Upstairs, the building features two newly renovated one bedroom apartments.
1436 Indianola Avenue
We’re thrilled for this one-of-a-kind project to start taking shape. Nestled in the Italian Village, we’ll be completely renovating an old church. When it’s finished, it will house nine luxury apartments. Among other attractions, one unit will feature a master bathroom inside the church’s steeple!
Budd Dairy
We’re proud to be leading the historic restoration and renovation of this massive factory. Our crown jewel, we’re confident that Budd Dairy will become the epicenter of the North Fourth Street Corridor. It will hold breathtaking retail and office space, including the new Lykens Companies HQ. Keep an eye out as we publish updates on the Short North’s most exciting new development!
