Fourth Crossing launches in September 2018. Lykens Companies is thrilled to introduce another incredible development to the Italian Village. Just across the street from the Budd Dairy, this brand-new build will house 36 1BR/1BA apartments.
Why Here?
Italian Village is in the middle of a cultural resurgence. Distinctive small businesses have carved a unique identity in this once industrial neighborhood. Now, it hosts dozens of breweries, restaurants, and galleries inside its restored buildings. Make sure to check out the neighborhood staples, like Cosecha Cocina, Seventh Son Brewing, and Fox in the Snow.
We’ve done our part to rejuvenate Italian Village, giving second life to the Wonder Bread Lofts, the Budd Dairy factory, the EJ Thomas warehouse, as well as with the new construction of our unparalleled townhomes. But we aren’t done yet.
After Fourth Crossing is completed, 36 luxury apartments will sit in what was once an empty lot of weeds. We’re confident that this building will invite a new history into an old neighborhood. We are fortunate to help spearhead Columbus’s improvement. And we know it’s far from finished.
Another Cookie Cutter?
If you’re someone who resents the Short North’s constant construction, it might be because you fear that each new building will be the same old brick box you’ve seen too many times before. That’s because developers don’t want to spend the time or creative energy to craft something that will add to a city’s unique narrative.
Not us.
Fourth Crossing will boast a sleek charcoal exterior and is highlighted with light gray accents that work together to give it a style all its own. Exterior lights shine upon the collection of apartments, highlighting Fourth Street’s newest gem. Lastly, the trees and greenery that are carefully planted around the property make the development blend into the surrounding space. We haven’t seen too many cookie cutters like that.
What About Living In It?
All 36 of Fourth Crossing’s apartments meet the high standards that Lykens Companies sets for itself.
Each kitchen is fitted with brand new stainless steel appliances. Top of the line finishes create luxurious dining experiences. Our countertops are made with highest-grade granite. Our cabinetry is custom fitted. Practical elements never looked so beautiful.

Bathrooms are completed with a signature use of all-over tiling and elegant glasswork. Again, granite is in use, but finds itself on our custom made vanities instead of in the kitchen.
Expect living areas to be spacious and expertly laid out. Hardwood flooring will add to Fourth Crossing’s elegant and welcoming aesthetic. Residents need not worry about awkward living rooms, shrunken closets, or poorly lit homes. We build our apartments to be ones that we’d love living in ourselves.
Select apartments even feature private balconies. We don’t know of a better place to come home and enjoy a summer night. And speaking of coming home, Fourth Crossing will offer covered parking to its residents, meaning that you’ll never have to circle the block again. How good is that?
