Introducing Borgata Pizza Café & Darista
You’ve probably heard about Budd Dairy Food Hall, Lykens Companies’ massive renovation of the historic Italian Village 19th-century dairy factory. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and Lykens Companies have partnered to create a one-of-a-kind food hall experience.
When it’s finished, Budd Dairy Food Hall will represent one of the biggest celebrations of Columbus’s rich restaurant culture. Better yet, it will be the cherry on top of Italian Village’s revival. Budd Dairy’s historic preservation, paired with its lively atmosphere, will accurately embrace Italian Village’s essence.
For months, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, the nationwide brand that started in Columbus, has interviewed dozens of passionate restaurant owners (Shark Tank style) to find the perfect fit. Now, they’ve made their final decision, selecting several vendors who will be serving incredible food inside Budd Dairy Food Hall when it opens.
The first two vendors were recently announced: Borgata Pizza Café and Darista. These two restaurants are ready to make a serious impact on Budd Dairy Food Hall.

Borgata Pizza Café
Who doesn’t love pizza? Borgata Pizza Café might end up making you love their pizza just a little more than the rest. Ed Bisconti, co-owner of Borgata Pizza Café, was born into the food world. He grew up in the kitchen watching his mother and grandmother put together incredible Italian dishes from just a few simple ingredients.
These days, Borgata is keeping that tradition alive. Nearly anything served from Borgata is made from scratch. Their New York style pizza features their own homemade sauce, dough, and is topped with fresh ingredients. Trust us, you can taste the difference.
When Borgata Pizza Café opens inside Budd Dairy Food Hall, expect the same fresh ingredients. Visitors will enjoy pizza by the slice, their very popular (and delicious) stuffed peppers, and a few more surprises.

Darista
Darista might sound familiar to you. It should. Darista Dips is Dara Schwartz’s one of a kind hummus and dip maker. Sold in over 70 locations, these incredible dips introduce people to flavor combinations they never even imagined. Think chocolate espresso hummus, sweet potato coconut curry hummus, and so much more.
This creativity surrounding hummus stems from Scwartz’s exploration of her own family lines. With Israeli roots, Schwartz’s love for food and flavor pays respect to her grandfather, Ely, who owned and operated a Jewish delicatessen in Chicago.
Yet, Schwartz herself has traveled and experienced dozens and dozens of different cultures, each with its own flavor and identity. With Darista, Schwartz’s first restaurant, she’ll introduce Columbus to layers of flavor that it never thought possible. Visitors will enjoy hummus platters paired with meats and vegetables. It will all lead to an unforgettable food experience.

We’re thrilled to have Borgata Pizza Café and Darista inside Budd Dairy Food Hall and we can’t wait for the other restaurants to be announced. Stay turned!
